Youth Peer Support
Our youth peer support services are offered in partner school districts as well as in the community, and utilize the Peer Recovery Support model and other evidence-based practices.
Groups are facilitated by a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist who utilizes a variety of techniques including; nonclinical support, motivational interviewing, story sharing, stages of recovery, instruction, active listening, open-ended questions, demonstration, recovery wellness plans, and encouragement. Additionally, the Youth Peer Recovery Specialist acts as a liaison between students, educators, and other support services – bridging the gap to create and maintain overall wellness for students.
Our Promise
We’re committed to informing the next generation about the choices they have to fight against substance use, and to power through stereotypes and invest in their future. We promise to educate and empower youth, parents and educators to take a stand against substance use.
